Black August | Art, History, Activism, and Politics

BLACK_AUGUST_BACK_copyAugust is here and a lot of things going on to celebrate the accomplishments of African Americans! Tomorrow is going to be a great day to begin celebrating with the b-day of writer and activist, James Baldwin.

We’ll all get a chance to revisit and contemplate the words of Dr. Martin Luther King in his speech: “I Have a Dream,” conducted on August 28, 1963.

Lastly, if you didn’t know this is the month that Black people arrived to the United States of American and placed in to slavery. This month, I say get knowledge, read about Black History, and use the wisdom that you’ve gained to make a difference in your own community.

To get the month going download these hot new music mixes and watch some great films below for FREE!!!
